At the gracious invitation of Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), “Benya” group was proud to participate in the “Forum of African Heads of Investment Commissions”, held at Sharm El Sheikh as part of its strategy to expand its operations and enhance its investments in Africa.
Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman and CEO of “Benya” Group, expressed his gratitude to Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab for the enormous efforts made to organize the Forum activities, which allowed Benya Group to conduct several fruitful business meetings with senior representatives of African investment authorities and major international and African economic institutions.
Mekky further expressed his optimism that the meetings held by Benya during the forum will result in successful agreements to be announced soon, similar to the projects that Benya is implementing to build and operate a national fiber-optic network (NFON), spanning up to 16 thousand kilometers in The Republic of the Congo, under the umbrella of “Benya DRC”.
Mekky stressed that Benya is taking strides towards meeting the African continent’s demand for digital transformation and the development of communications and technology infrastructure in the region, thereby supporting Egypt’s regional leadership in the African Continent.
On the sidelines of the forum, a new joint cooperation agreement was formed with the “Arab Organization for Industrialization” (AOI) to launch a new entity named “Benya Trade” under the umbrella of Benya group- to promote and disseminate the AOI’s products within the African markets, in line with Benya’s aims for horizontal expansion.
